France LeVangia started the evening off teaching us a Chrysanthemum model created by Takai Hiroaki.. 
Icicle (rectangular paper) Icicle (square paper)
France also taught an "icicle" decoration folded from rectangles.  A couple of us also folded the square version of the model.
 

Lydia and Hannah  
We had lots of fun folding New Years hats!  The model is "King David's Crown" by Laura Kruskal.  The diagrams can be found in OrigamiUSA Annual Collection 1997, p.134.
Twinkle, twinkle little star

Candy dish

To continue with the New Years spirit, we ended the evening with a couple of noise makers... no fold banger and vibrating horn from rolled paper.
